4K APPLETV

On December 2017, Apple offered all the James Bond catalogue from DR. NO to SPECTRE in 4K resolution for the first time. GOLDENEYE is, of course, included among them and the movie does look quite pristine thanks to the 3840x1632 image resolution. Unlike the BluRay edition, the film preserves the original 1994 United Artists logo and the image lacks the uncomfortable DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) applied to the actors' faces which made them look like latex masks.

Check out some screencaps of the AppleTV GOLDENEYE transfer after these lines. It should give you an idea on how the film would look like when released on 4K UHD BluRay discs in the following years. Huge thanks to The 007 Dossier for the captures.
