THE GAMES
Beginning with the highly acclaimed 1997 Nintendo 64 video game by Rareware, four interactive games were released to date using the GOLDENEYE branding in different ways: in 2004, Electronic Arts developed GOLDENEYE: ROGUE AGENT, in which the player assumed the role of a renegade MI6 agent with a robotic golden eye. Six years later, Activision launched a remake of the original N64 game adapted for 2010 and with Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond, which a year later received an HD adaptation for Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 under the title GOLDENEYE RELOADED. At the same time, the enjoyable playability of the original game left a lasting impression to many developers who made unofficial freeware games, particularly GOLDENEYE: SOURCE.
