Sean Bean and Famke Janssen to star in live-action 'Knights of The Zodiac' adaptation

For those who grew up in the 90s, GOLDENEYE and KNIGHTS OF THE ZODIAC need no introduction. The former is the very successful film that relaunched the James Bond series with Pierce Brosnan in the leading role confronting villains played by Sean Bean and Famke Janssen. The latter is a manga and anime series aired between 1986 and 1989, reaired many times all over the world. The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively revealed yesterday that Bean and Janssen are set to play characters in a live-action adaptation of the source material created by Masami Kurumada, which will be produced and directed by Tomasz Baginski, starring Mackenyu and Madison Iseman.

While the role of Famke Janssen is not disclosed yet, Sean Bean will play Alman Kiddo, a mentor of the leading character Seiya played by Mackenyu. The film is set to be released in 2022.
