Arthur Wooster, additional unit director for 'GoldenEye', dies aged 91


Legendary James Bond production member Arthur Wooster passed away this morning aged 91. He had worked in the film industry since 1950s starting as a camera operator, joining the Bond series in 1981 with FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, serving as a second unit director to John Glen in his five sucessive 007 adventures, which ended in 1989 with LICENCE TO KILL.


When Pierce Brosnan was cast as the secret agent and Martin Campbell sat on the director chair in 1995, Wooster worked in GOLDENEYE as an additional unit director, returning to perform the same duty for THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH and DIE ANOTHER DAY, released in 1999 and 2002.


Other credits include RAISE THE TITANIC (1980), HIGHLANDER II: THE QUICKENING (1991) and THE COUNT OF MONTECRISTO (2002). We express our deepest condolences to his family.
