Andrew Jack, dialect coach for 'GoldenEye', dies at 76

British actor and dialect coach Andrew Jack passed away on March 31 a victim of COVID-19, informed his agent Jill McCollough to TMZ. Jack's career includes films like INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE (1989), CHAPLIN (1992) and many installments of the STAR WARS franchise. In 1995 he trained many GOLDENEYE actors to speak English with an Eastern European accent when playing Russians characters, like Gottfried John, Izabella Scorupco, Famke Janssen and Robbie Coltrane.

"Before we got around to Russian, my first task was to get talking with a uniformity in English", he told author Garth Pearce as he remembered dealing with artists coming from different nationalities.

Andrew Jack's other credits include TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997), DIE ANOTHER DAY (2002), TROY (2004) and AVENGERS: ENDGAME (2019).

We homage Jack with a star our Memorial Wall, remembering the cast and crew of GOLDENEYE we lost in this quarter of a century. May he rest in peace.
